Chris and the animals check out the area that Sonic is in and the encounter a bunch of ghosts, led by King Boom Boo, who are trapping everyone in a forcefield. Sonic gives Chris the artifact from earlier. As the ghosts are pulling Sonic in the forcefield, Amy and Chris go back to the pedestal the artifact was on, and it reads: “Appears under the moon, disappears under the sun”. The two discover a secret entrance to the area under the pedestal and go to save everyone.
